What makes Moroccan Miracles rugs unique?

We champion the creativity and artistic freedom of our artists which means we NEVER tell them what to make, what designs are trending or what ‘sells well’.

The result?

Vibrant colourful and contemporary rugs that are one of a kind works of art.

Where do your rugs come from?

As the name suggests, all the rugs on Moroccan Miracles are sourced in Morocco.

We work with a network of family and friends to ensure that our business is ethical and fair.

We respect traditional methods of buying and selling rugs in Morocco and that there is a community behind each rug, not just one woman.

How are the rugs made?

Our rugs are the product of ancient weaving traditions.

They are produced within a sustainable circular model: the wool comes from local sheep, it is then processed, dyed and spun in villages before being woven by hand on a loom.

These beauties can take anywhere between 2-4 months to produce. They are high quality contemporary rugs that will last you a lifetime.

Why choose a Moroccan Miracle rug?

When you buy a rug from Moroccan Miracles you are supporting a small Australian family business that respects and upholds the cultural traditions of rug weaving, buying and selling in Morocco.

We are not just rug dealers, we want to share our traditions with you.

Our rugs are crafted from pure Moroccan sheep’s wool. They are long lasting, sustainably and ethically produced and sourced AND they are beautiful.

What more could you ask for?

Do you ship internationally?

Yes, Moroccan Miracles provides free international shipping, allowing customers worldwide to enjoy our striking rugs and we ensure a smooth ordering process.

Will my rug be exactly the same as the picture?

We put a lot of effort into capturing the beauty of each individual rug.

Every piece is photographed by our team in natural light.

However, there may be some variation in colour and tone due to differences in your monitor, phone settings and screen brightness.

Feel free to send us a message and we’ll send you extra images or videos.

Do you offer custom rugs?

No, we don’t offer custom rugs. The reason for this is simple - we champion the artistic freedom of our weavers!

We wouldn’t ever want to hinder the creativity of the amazing women behind these rugs by dictating to them what they should make. All of our rugs are completely unique, one of a kind contemporary designs and each one is a work of art.

We don’t offer custom size or design because we want to respect and preserve these ancient traditions and allow the2 creativity of our artitsts to flourish.

Can I return my rug?

It is important to us that you are happy with your purchase. If for any reason you do not wish to keep your purchase you can return it within 14 days of receipt for your money back or an exchange - it's your choice.

Simply email info@moroccanmiracles.com if you would like to exchange your purchase and we will talk you through the simple return process.

Postage / shipping charges for the return of the item must be paid by the customer.

How do I clean/care for my Moroccan rug?

Most of our rugs are all made from 100% pure Moroccan wool and they are very robust. If you care for your Moroccan rug correctly, it will last you a lifetime. Follow these simple steps to ensure the longevity of your Moroccan rug:

1. Light vacuuming
Regular light vacuuming will help to keep your rug clean. We recommend using a soft roller head and vacuuming in one direction i.e. from top to bottom. Don’t use a vacuum with a brush or rotating motor head as these tend to tear out the natural fibers. If you can, flip the rug over and vacuum the back as well. (This will help new rugs to shed and settle)

2. Annual Airing
The most important thing you can do is to air your wool rug in the sunshine at least twice a year. Take your rug outside and give it a good shake or bat it a few times with a carpet beater to loosen any dirt. Then hang the rug preferably in the sun, in an area with good airflow. The UV light from the sun will help to kill any bacteria in the rug as well as loosening dust and dirt.

3. Spot Cleaning
It’s inevitable that you’re going to spill something on your rug - life happens. Spot clean any stains with warm water and liquid detergent. It’s best not to scrub the stain - as this will force the substance deeper in the fiber of the rug. Soak the stain with a mixture of warm water and detergent then blot it dry.

4. Rotation
Rotate your rug every so often to ensure that no bacteria builds up in areas where there is less sunlight and foot traffic. This will also help to age the rug evenly. Note that direct sunlight may cause fading over time.

If you feel your rug is getting really grotty, you can have it professionally cleaned, but don’t get carried away, you shouldn’t need to do this more than once every couple of years.
