This rug is made from wool which comes from sheep in the mountains of Morocco. The local community processes, dyes and spins the wool making it ready for weaving.
MAKER
This Azilal rug has been handmade by women from the Azilal region in the heart of the Atlas mountains - about 180km from Marrakech. These women have learnt ancient weaving techniques from their ancestors. They do their magic on the loom -literally- incorporating ancient symbols to deflect the evil eye and bring good luck to them -the maker- and the future owner of the rug.

Moroccan Azilal rugs come from the high Atlas region about 180km from Marrakech.
Characterised by a riot of colour, geometric designs and vibrant free-form patterns, Azilal rugs are a contemporary expression of creativity.
Using ancient symbols and storytelling traditions, Azilal rugs are one-of-a-kind art pieces, weaving a story from the talented women behind these hand-knotted types of Moroccan rugs. What makes Azilal carpets so special is the whimsical artistic design, featuring bold shapes, bold colours and intricate geometric patterns.

Each Moroccan Miracles rug is one of a kind handwoven artwork that we source on the ground in Morocco using traditional ways of purchasing. Although the rugs are woven by our Moroccan sisters, men are often involved in the initial cleaning and dying of the wool along with the final stages of cleaning the rug and taking it to sell. Although we celebrate the artworks of our sister weavers, we recognise that it takes a community and not just one woman.

We have a 14 day return policy
It is important to us that you are happy with your purchase. If for any reason you do not wish to keep your purchase you can return it within the 14 days of receipt for your money back or an exchange - it's your choice.
To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.
