Any rug coming from this region is considered a Beni Ourain, but watch out for fakes, due to the striking design and popularity of the Beni Ourain style - there are lots of copycats on the market.

Crafted from pure sheep's wool, the Beni Ourain artists are notorious for being the highest quality weavers in the Atlas Mountains. These luxurious carpets are meticulously hand knotted using long strands of wool to create a dense soft pile that feels super plush and cozy underfoot.  You’d be forgiven for thinking that Beni Ourain only come in white or cream because traditionally they were woven using natural undyed wool.
